Gift cards do not reduce the customs value of goods

Dear BayShop clients,

We would like to inform you about one important aspect of using gift cards when shopping in online stores. Using a gift card does not reduce the customs value of the goods. So, if the item you buy costs €200 and you use a €55 gift card, reducing the final amount to €145, the parcel will be assessed to customs at a value of €200.

This condition does not apply to promotional codes provided by the store en masse to all customers. The rule only applies to gift cards that were purchased and used for purchases in online stores.
