From October 1st, we offer an automatic discount for bulky parcels from Europe!

Dear customers, great news!

Starting from October 1, for all shipments from the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Romania, BayShop will apply a new volumetric weight calculation formula — the volume will be divided by 8000 instead of 6000, as commonly used in international logistics.

This automatically reduces the volumetric weight and makes delivery cheaper for bulky parcels.  

Important: Under normal conditions, 96% of all BayShop parcels are not charged by volume, as they do not exceed the set limits.
Volumetric weight applies only in two cases:

• if one of the sides exceeds 1 meter, or
• if the volumetric weight is more than 3 times greater than the actual weight of the parcel.

Examples of parcels that may be considered volumetric:
radiator grilles, bumpers (front and rear), doors, fenders, and other car body parts — they take up a lot of space but weigh little, which is why they are calculated by volume.

Example:

Parcel size: 50 × 50 × 50 cm
Volume = 50 × 50 × 50 = 125,000 cm³

• Old formula (/6000): 125,000 ÷ 6000 = 20.83 kg
• New formula (/8000): 125,000 ÷ 8000 = 15.63 kg

Savings: around 25% of volumetric weight — this is an automatic discount that all BayShop customers now receive!
