Where to file complaints if a package delivered by USPS is lost?

Where to file complaints if a package delivered by USPS is lost?
14 Jul 2022

What should I do if the USPS informs you that the package has been delivered, but it is not in our US warehouse? Perhaps the package was mistakenly delivered to a different address, or lost, or is still in the post office waiting to be sent. During the period of sales and increased load at the USPS, such moments are not excluded.

The service classifies the parcel as “Delivered” as soon as it appears at the USPS office, but it takes another 2-7 days before delivery to the BayShop warehouse.

If after 7 days your package delivered by the USPS service does not appear in the system, you should write a complaint about the delay. Complaints will only be accepted by USPS from the direct owner of the package.

How to do it:

1. Write a complaint about your package on the USPS website. As a rule, this is enough for the parcel to be found and in our warehouse, in our reliable hands, from where we will deliver it to you.

2. If you want to expedite the process, you can call your local post office at (302) 994-5029 in the US for details.

3. For more confidence, you can request a GPS scan delivery report from USPS and receive a report on where exactly the courier left the package that was marked as delivered.

4. If the package is still lost, and complaints to the USPS did not help, you should contact the US Postal Inspectorate, go to www.uspis.gov and select the type of complaint.

Of course, it is better that such situations do not happen to your parcels, but if force majeure has already occurred, let you have clear instructions for action. Happy shopping!
